Required Documents For Associates And Bachelor’s Degree Applications For Foreign Nationals
- Online Equivalency Pre-Application FormAfter completing the online pre-application, a printed version of the application form must be obtained and signed, then added to the application documents.
- Consent StatementThe consent statement form must be filled out completely from our website (https://denklik.yok.gov.tr/) and signed, then added to the application documents.
- Photocopy of the identity document issued by the country of nationality or the photocopy of the passport page showing personal identification details.
- a) Original diploma or graduation certificate for which equivalency is requested,b) Original Turkish translation, verified by Turkish notaries or Turkish consulates, of the diploma or graduation certificate for which equivalency is requested.
- a) Official transcript (including all courses, credit hours, and grades obtained during higher education),b) Official Turkish translation of the transcript (including all courses, credit hours, and grades obtained during higher education), verified by Turkish notaries or Turkish consulates.
- a) Original Diploma Supplement for diplomas obtained from European Union member countries,b) Official Turkish translation of the Diploma Supplement, verified by Turkish notaries or Turkish consulates, for diplomas obtained from European Union member countries.For those unable to provide a Diploma Supplement from an EU member country, a document explaining this situation must be obtained from the relevant higher education institution or competent authorities of the respective country.

- Document showing that dual nationality applicants have lived in the country where they studied during their education.
- Photocopy of the pages from the passports used during higher education, showing entry and exit dates and processed pages.
- Written statement explaining the reason for applying for the recognition or equivalency of foreign associate, bachelor’s, and master’s diplomas.
- Receipt proving that the application fee has been paid.
- Proof of language proficiency in the language of instruction, if the language of instruction differs from the applicant’s native language.
If the exam was conducted by ÖSYM, the verification code for the ÖSYM exam results showing a minimum of 60 points or the verification code for the exam results showing equivalent points from a language proficiency test approved by ÖSYM (YDS or an equivalent test) must be submitted.
- Colored photocopy of all documents requested during the recognition/equivalency application process (including all pages of the passport).
Notice 1: If any additional documents not listed above are required after submitting the equivalency application, the Higher Education Council may request further information and documents.
Notice 2: For applicants who graduated from health-related programs of foreign higher education institutions in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years (pandemic period), the following documents must be submitted:
- Official document from the institution showing the completion of internship training, indicating the percentage of in-person and online training taken.
- The certified copy of this document and its official Turkish translation, verified by Turkish notaries or Turkish consulates, must be submitted with the application documents.
Notice 3: Applicants who graduated from higher education institutions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) should take into account the information provided in the relevant module when applying.
Notice 4: Digital diplomas, transcripts, or diploma supplements prepared and printed in color, without wet signatures and seals/holograms/watermarks, will not be accepted.
